• The 7.International Olympic Winter Festival

    The Winter Fair was held in Vikingskipet in Hamar together with the Used and Antiques Fair for collectors on 22. and 23. April 2006. A solid presence of collectors and merchants as well as a great turnout of spectators made this festival one of Oslo Pin Club's biggest successes ever. I addition, Ink Stories of New York visited us and taped interviews for their upcoming film, the King Pin, a documentary about international pin collectors. Oslo Pin Club are looking forward to the next fair at Vikingskipet, 2007.

    The 7th Winter Olympic Collector’s Fair Hamar 2006

     

     

    Saturday, April 22nd, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

    and Sunday, April 23rd, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

     

     

    The Fair is held in Hamar Olympiahall, Vikingskipet,

    together with the annual antique- and second-hand market.

     

     

     

    Hamar Olympiahall, Vikingskipet (Hamar Olympic Hall, The Vikingship) at Hamar was the arena for speed skating during the Lillehammer Olympic Winter Games in 1994.

     

     

    We encourage people to come to the Fair!

     

    Here you can buy, sell and trade/exchange Olympic pins and other memorabilia (collectibles), like torches, flags, streamers, banners, stamps, coins, postcards, books, medals, mugs etc, and also other kinds of pins, both in sport and non-sport. Only your fantasy sets the limit.

     

    We also encourage you to check your drawers and cupboards at home and bring along all sorts of pins and other objects appropriate for possible sale or trade/exchange with the exhibitors.

     

     

    Oslo Pin Club will sell special edition pins made for the 2006 Fair.

     

     

    If you would like to have your own stand and be an exhibitor at the Fair, please read information below.

    Exhibitors’  information

     

    How to rent a stand

    You may rent a stand/table and become an exhibitor. Oslo Pin Club has approx. 43 tables available, maximum one table pr person. If there are extra tables, they will be divided among those who want more than one table by a draw.

     

    The price pr table:               NOK 750.

    The size of the table/stand: 180 cm x 80 cm.

     

    The tables are placed along a wall, and it is possible to use the wall to display objects.

     

    Those who want to rent a stand, must contact Oslo Pin Club as soon as possible, preferably by e-mail to ”gunnar@oslopinclub.org” or by phone to the president of the club, Gunnar Rolland, mobile phone +47 95 94 30 32.

     

    Market for the exhibitors on Friday

    Exhibitors may arrive at Vikingskipet already on Friday to prepare their stand.

    From 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. there will be exhibitors-only market. Here you may exchange, buy and sell, be social and get contacts.

     

    Busy days / great audience

    We expect busy days on Saturday and Sunday. Normally, more than 5,000 people each day come to the very popular antique- and second-hand market which is arranged every year in spring and late autumn.

     

    Where else can you as an exhibitor have the pleasure of meeting so many collectors in a district that has been an Olympic host?

     

    Pins

    For the Fair there will be produced three numbered pins with the same motive:

    - Big pin in golden value, for sale only to the exhibitors, only one to each stand.

    - Big pin in silver value, for sale to the public.

    - Little pin in golden value, for sale to the public.

     

    Dinner for the exhibitors,

    will be arranged at the Victoria Hotell on Saturday evening, 8:00 pm.

    When you write to order a stand, please tell us if you should want to take part in the dinnerarrangement. We do not yet know the costs.

    There are several hotels located in and around Hamar. Oslo Pin Club has reserved some rooms at Victoria Hotell. The exhibitors are welcome, as soon as possible, to contact the hotel for room reservations with a Club discount, if still available.
